Questions
When are retreats held?
The next Pacific Northwest retreat is:
Sunday, September 8, 5 p.m. through Friday, September 13 at 2:00
Tilikum Lodge, Newberg, Oregon
What’s the cost, and what does it include?
A week of your focus and an investment of $2,495, which includes comfy shared lodging; delicious food, tea, coffee, and snacks; and a profoundly life-enriching experience with accessible tools to take home with you. A $500 deposit will hold your spot. The balance is due 90 days before the retreat. Although the deposit is not refundable, it can be credited to a different retreat date with advance notice. Communicate your needs – we’re here to help.
Transportation
It’s an easy drive if you’re in the Pacific Northwest, or you can fly into Portland International Airport (PDX), about one hour away. We’ll help you connect with transportation to the site. Rental cars won’t be helpful during the retreat, so we recommend saving the money. The scenic train is available between Seattle and Salem or from Klamath Falls to the south up to Salem.
How many people will attend each retreat?
Numbers can vary based on accommodations, but generally, 25-35 people attend the retreat.
Can I request food to meet my special dietary needs?
Yes! We are all about making accommodations for people to eat in a way that
helps them truly thrive, and it’s not the same for each of us. A gluten-free diet
is a given; dairy alternatives are available, vegan options are offered, and so on.
Your registration materials will include the sharing of your needs.
Now THAT is liberating!
What should I bring to the retreat?
Pack like you would for a vacation at a country lodge, with layers for staying
comfortable indoors and outdoors. Hiking boots or supportive walking shoes are
encouraged. Linens and pillows are provided. Bring your toiletries, but
please do leave heavy make-up and large jewelry at home, and refrain from
perfumes and colognes (and fragranced products) in consideration for those with allergies. During the summer months, bring a swimsuit in case you decide to take a dip in the lake! CPAP machines are welcome, and if you take necessary medications or need an Epi-Pen, please plan to have ample quantities.
What’s not allowed?
Perfume and other high allergens, alcoholic beverages, mind-altering substances
without a prescription, cigarettes and cigars, firearms, or weapons of any kind.
What questions do you have?

In this powerful retreat, you will:
Suffering comes from not attuning, from fearing rejection, and from being unreceived.
Learning to attend to our emotional bodies lovingly and to communicate this experience authentically is powerfully life-changing. It’s the finely honed expertise of your guide, JF. It deserves five days of your loving attention.
The in-person retreat experience is like none other. We thrive on connection and creating a safe space together. You are fully welcomed and accepted exactly as you are. Your vulnerability to share your hurt, your pain, your confusion, or your frustration will all be honored, held, and met with caring, skilled attention. It will open a doorway to your emotional intelligence, which in turn will help you reconnect with your innate sense of courage, resilience, love, and value.
